Is it time to revive this blog?
Possibly.
Today, I begin my new work year after taking a whopping 4 days off from work. This comes after I only took 4 days of vacation time over the year.
Originally I had intended to use this blog as a diary of my journey through an extended learning curve - one where I had limited training for my new position, but all the optimism.
Miraculously I have learned, I have the training/chops...but I lack the motivation!
Over the last year, I sat, mulled, and resented my work the moment I had to wake up. I lost the opportunities to learn and challenge myself.
I basically did the opposite to what I was good at doing.
However, now that I have a new start on a new year, I will do what I can do further encourage myself to better my skills and experience. Am I saying this because this may be my last year in this post? Or is it because I want to make a big push to show that I am indeed worthy of being rehired/renewed as a contractor?
Only time will tell!
Well... most likely I will get shit canned and will be looking for a new job. In the meantime, Ill be studying for my pmp, and ITIL I guess :)
